Excellent wallet & Exchange

Excellent wallet & Exchange. Well done. I’ve used a number of digital wallets for this coin or that coin, and multi chain. This is one of the better ones so far. Pretty intuitive while at the same time incorporating multi-chain swaps and exchanges (bridging) fairly transparently. Minimal fee’s to boot. A nice touch with the hierarchical structure of main net coin(s) and then subnet coin(s) below.

Guarda is easily my new favorite ❤️

I'm very particular when it comes to crypto wallets, exchanges, etc. so when I had to find a way of moving DOGE off of an old wallet and saw the wallet options for some reason Guarda stood out. I am very happy I decided to try Guarda, as I now have another crypto wallet/exchange service that I feel safe to use. I am very impressed with the UI, how seamless and intuitive everything is - I am excited to use Guarda more, thanks!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best wallet support for XRP?

The best XRP wallet depends on what is important to you. Guarda Wallet supports XRP across desktop, mobile, web, and browser platforms with non-custodial private key management. Guarda is often used by long-term holders together with a Ledger hardware wallet for an extra layer of offline security.

Do I need a special wallet for XRP?

No. You only need a wallet that supports the XRP Ledger. Many multi-currency wallets, including Guarda, Trust Wallet, and Ledger-compatible applications, allow users to securely store, send, and receive XRP alongside many other cryptocurrencies.

What fiat currencies are supported for buying XRP?

You can only use the fiat currencies that the provider allows you to. Most exchanges accept US dollars, euros, British pounds, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, and other local currencies. The ways to pay are through bank transfers, debit cards, credit cards, and additional regional payment methods.

How can I buy XRP with PayPal?

Some exchanges and payment providers accept PayPal for XRP purchases, where available. Support depends on your country and the platform you choose. And if PayPal is not available, most providers also offer bank cards, bank transfers, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Can I use other cryptocurrencies to buy XRP?

Yes. Many cryptocurrency exchanges allow users to exchange Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and others for XRP through available trading pairs. That way you don't have to convert funds into fiat money first.

Can I withdraw my XRP after purchasing it?

Yes. After purchasing XRP, you can withdraw it from an exchange to a compatible cryptocurrency wallet. Many users transfer XRP into self-custody to maintain control over their private keys.

How secure is buying and storing XRP on an exchange?

Major exchanges use extensive security measures, but they also control users' private keys. Buyers who prefer full ownership often withdraw XRP into a non-custodial wallet after completing their purchase.

How can I buy XRP with a bank account?

After completing KYC verification, many regulated exchanges allow users to buy XRP with bank transfers. Processing times depend on the country, bank, and payment provider used for the transaction. It could take a couple of minutes or several business days.

How do I buy XRP in the US specifically?

Availability depends on the exchange and state regulations. Once you have verified your identity, you can buy XRP on many licensed US platforms. Always confirm that the exchange works legally in your state before you open an account.

Is it legal to buy XRP in my country?

Regulations differ between countries. XRP is available in many regions, but local laws and exchange policies determine where purchases are permitted. Check your country's regulations and the exchange's supported jurisdictions before buying.

Can I buy XRP by depositing from an external crypto wallet?

Yes. Many cryptocurrency exchanges allow users to deposit supported digital assets from an external wallet. Then, you can exchange them for XRP through available trading pairs. This approach is convenient if you already hold cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or USDT and prefer not to make a new purchase with fiat money.

Can I set up limit orders to buy XRP?

Yes. Most cryptocurrency exchanges offer limit orders, allowing users to specify the maximum price they are willing to pay for XRP. The order executes only if the market reaches that price. This gives buyers more control over their purchase and can help avoid buying during short-term price spikes.

What should I consider before buying XRP?

Before buying XRP, learn about its use case, current regulations, payments, fees, and storage options. Decide beforehand whether you'll keep XRP on an exchange or transfer it to a personal wallet. Only invest an amount that matches your financial risk tolerance.

Are there any tax implications when buying XRP?

XRP tax rules differ by country. Buying XRP itself is likely not a taxable event, but selling, exchanging, staking through third-party services, or using XRP to pay for goods and services could trigger taxable events. Make sure you keep accurate records of all transactions and check with a qualified tax professional to understand the rules in your local area.

What are the minimum or maximum amounts of XRP I can buy?

Minimum and maximum purchase limits depend on the exchange or provider. Many platforms allow users to start with relatively small purchases. The higher limits often demand additional identity verification. Payment method, country of residence, and local regulations may also affect available amounts to buy.

How do I transfer XRP to a different wallet or exchange?

Enter the recipient's wallet address and, if necessary, the correct destination tag to send XRP. Please double-check all transaction details before confirming. Remember that blockchain transfers are irreversible. XRP transactions typically settle in seconds on the XRP Ledger, making transfers fast and cheap.

Everything You Need to Know About Buying XRP

Before buying XRP, users should prepare three things: identity verification, a supported payment method, and a storage plan. Regulated cryptocurrency exchanges require users to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification before purchasing any XRP for fiat money. You'll also need a supported payment method: a bank card or bank transfer will do. Also, decide whether to leave your XRP on an exchange or move it into a crypto wallet after purchase.

KYC is rather the norm across the cryptocurrency industry. To sign up, exchanges typically ask users to verify their identity with a government-issued ID and sometimes proof of address. Kraken and other platforms ask users to pass a KYC verification before they can buy XRP. The process helps exchanges comply with financial regulations and reduce fraud.

Once verification is complete, users can buy XRP with traditional fiat money, including US dollars, euros, British pounds, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, and other local currencies, depending on the provider. Most exchanges also support debit cards, credit cards, bank transfers, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other regional payment methods.

What Is XRP?

XRP is the native digital asset of the XRP Ledger, an independent blockchain. Unlike many networks, the XRP Ledger uses its own consensus mechanism to settle transactions in just a few seconds. XRP was created to improve cross-border payments, so money could move between financial institutions and users more efficiently than with fiat money.

Ripple Labs has been a leading force in developing RippleNet, a payment network used by financial institutions for cross-border transfers. Ripple and XRP are closely connected. But Ripple is the company that develops payment technology, while XRP is the digital asset that operates on the XRP Ledger.

Ripple Labs and the SEC's legal battle in the US affected the market availability of XRP for several years. Some exchanges suspended trading in XRP in certain jurisdictions as a result of the lawsuit. As regulatory clarity improved and the case moved toward resolution, many exchanges restored XRP listings. Although regulatory requirements still vary from country to country, XRP is still one of the biggest cryptos by market cap and is easily accessible through major exchanges and payment providers.

How to Store XRP Safely After Purchase

When you decide where to keep XRP, it determines who controls the private keys and has a right to authorize transactions. Keeping XRP on an exchange means trusting the platform to safeguard your assets. Moving it into a personal wallet gives you complete control over your funds.

Many users leave XRP on custodial exchanges such as Kraken or Coinbase, especially if they trade regularly. Exchange storage offers simplicity, easy account recovery, and quick access to buying and selling. But the exchange manages the private keys on your behalf, and if it becomes compromised, your funds become too.

Non-custodial crypto wallet creates and saves private keys on the device. Users control their recovery phrase and wallet credentials. Guarda Wallet supports XRP across desktop, mobile, web, and browser extension applications. Users can buy, store, send, receive, and manage XRP while maintaining self-custody.

Several wallets support XRP, each designed for different priorities:

  • Guarda Wallet—a non-custodial wallet that supports XRP purchases, storage, transfers, and Ledger integration across desktop, mobile, web, and browser.
  • Trust Wallet—a mobile wallet that offers convenient access to XRP and thousands of other digital assets.
  • Ledger—a hardware wallet providing cold storage and keeping private keys offline.
  • Trezor—a hardware wallet designed for offline cryptocurrency storage with support for compatible XRP management.

Experienced users combine the two. You can keep active XRP in a software wallet while storing long-term balances in a hardware wallet. Alternatively, you can use exchanges solely for buying or trading XRP before withdrawing it into your own custody. No matter where you store your crypto, the most important element of wallet security is how you secure your recovery phrase.

What Every XRP Buyer Should Consider

Buying XRP should involve understanding the risks that help buyers make informed decisions before investing.

  • Market volatility. XRP has experienced significant price swings throughout its history. Short-term price movements can be quite dramatic.
  • Ripple's escrow holdings. Ripple Labs holds a significant amount of XRP in escrow and periodically releases portions according to a predefined schedule. The token supply may influence market dynamics.
  • Regulatory differences. The SEC lawsuit has helped to clarify the regulatory framework in the US but regulations for XRP vary from country to country and can impact its listing on exchanges.
  • Portfolio concentration. Avoid allocating more to XRP than fits your financial goals and risk tolerance. Many investors reduce timing risk by using dollar-cost averaging instead of making one large purchase.
