How to Fix Network and Connection Issues in Guarda
Guarda needs an internet connection to access the latest blockchain data and broadcast transactions. If Guarda cannot connect properly, you may notice that:
- Your balance doesn't update
- Recent transactions don't appear
- A transaction cannot be sent
- Wallet information takes unusually long to load
- Some assets or blockchain services are temporarily unavailable
Is My Crypto Safe During a Connection Issue?
Yes. A connection problem does not remove cryptocurrency from its blockchain address.
What you see in Guarda may simply be temporarily outdated because the wallet cannot retrieve the latest blockchain information. Once the connection is restored and the wallet synchronizes again, Guarda should display the current information.
Before reinstalling Guarda, clearing application or browser data, or making other changes that could remove locally stored wallet information, make sure you have your current Guarda Backup and recovery credentials.
Troubleshooting steps
1. Refresh Your Wallet
First, refresh your Guarda wallet and give it a moment to retrieve the latest blockchain data. If the problem affects only one asset, check whether the balance and transaction history for that particular wallet update after refreshing.
2. Check Your Internet Connection
Make sure your device is connected to the internet and other websites or online services are loading normally. If your connection is unstable, try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data or connecting to another network. On desktop, you can also use your phone as a mobile hotspot to check whether Guarda works through a different connection.
If Guarda works on another network but not your usual Wi-Fi, restart your router or modem and try again.
3. Check Your VPN, Firewall, or Antivirus
If you're using a VPN, try disconnecting it temporarily and check Guarda again. You can also check whether your firewall or antivirus is restricting Guarda and add the application to the trusted list if necessary.
Don't permanently disable your firewall, antivirus, or other security software to use Guarda.
4. Restart Guarda
Close Guarda completely and open it again. This can resolve temporary connection or synchronization issues. If that doesn't help, restart your device and check Guarda again.
5. Make Sure Guarda Is Up to Date
Check Guarda’s update status. An outdated app more likely will have connection troubles. If an update is available, install it and reopen Guarda.
What If Guarda Still Doesn't Connect?
If you've updated and restarted Guarda, checked your internet connection, and ruled out VPN, firewall, or antivirus restrictions, contact official Guarda Support.
Tell the support team which Guarda version you're using (Web, Desktop, Browser Extension, or Mobile), which asset or network is affected, and what happens when you try to use it. This can help determine whether the issue is specific to your device, connection, or a particular blockchain network.
