What Is Guarda Wallet?

Guarda Wallet is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that puts you in charge of more than 1 million digital assets across over 70 blockchain networks. Guarda helps beginners get started and gives experienced users the tools to manage crypto across multiple blockchains:

Guarda never stores your private keys or seed phrase or controls your funds. The other term for this is "self-custody." You keep your private keys as the only owner of your wallet, and you are also the one responsible for protecting it. But whenever you need help, our support team is here to assist 24/7.

Is Guarda Available in My Country?

Blockchain transactions don't depend on national borders. Because Guarda is a non-custodial wallet, as long as you have access to the relevant blockchain network, you can send and receive supported cryptocurrencies globally. Our key markets include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Australia.

Some services are provided by trusted third-party partners. For example, when you want to buy cryptocurrency with fiat, the actual availability depends on your country, its regulations, and the payment provider you choose. On-ramp providers (for buying crypto with fiat money like US dollars or euros) also require identity verification (KYC) before processing a transaction.

Crypto regulations are constantly evolving all over the world. We encourage you to do your own research regularly to be aware of the most recent legal updates.

How to Start your Guarda Wallet

Install Guarda on your preferred platform here and generate your new wallet.
Download your backup immediately. Remember to download a fresh backup whenever you create a new wallet, import an existing one, or delete a wallet on any platform.
Save your recovery phrase. Write down your recovery phrase and store it securely offline. This is essential for recovering your wallet if you lose access to your device and backup.
Fund your wallet by receiving funds, purchasing crypto with fiat, or swapping supported assets.
Start using crypto. Send, receive, manage, swap, or stake your digital assets directly from your wallet.

How to Fund a Wallet

Well, you cannot send, swap, or stake cryptocurrency if your wallet is empty. Here are three main ways to deposit funds and start your Guarda journey.

Receive Cryptocurrency

If you already have cryptocurrency in another wallet or on an exchange, or you have people who are willing to send you some, you can transfer it to Guarda.

In Guarda, open the cryptocurrency you want to deposit.
Copy your wallet address or scan the QR code.
Share the address with the sender. Or use it yourself to withdraw funds from another wallet or an exchange account.
Make sure you or the sender is using the correct blockchain network. The first rule of blockchain transfers: they are not reversible like bank transfers are. So sending crypto through an incorrect network will result in the loss of funds. We talk about it here.
Send a small test transaction before moving a larger amount.

Buy Cryptocurrency with Fiat

Don't own any cryptocurrency yet? Buy supported assets with fiat currencies directly in Guarda using our integrated payment partners. Depending on your country and the selected provider, you can buy crypto using a bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, and other supported payment methods.

During the purchase process, you'll be presented with one or more available providers based on your location, preferred payment method, selected cryptocurrency, and purchase amount. Since these services are operated by third-party partners, supported countries, payment methods, transaction limits, fees, and verification requirements may be different.

Also, the provider can ask you for an identity verification (Know Your Customer, KYC) before completing your purchase. It’s a procedure when you are sharing your phone number, email, selfie, or even a government ID. The goal of KYC is to comply with legal regulations and reduce the possibility of money laundering.

Open Guarda Wallet and select Buy.
Choose the cryptocurrency you want to purchase.
Enter the amount you want to spend or the amount of crypto you want to receive. The other one will be calculated automatically.
Review the payment providers available. They are based on your location and transaction type.
Compare the available rates, fees, payment methods, limits, and estimated processing times.
Choose the provider that best matches your needs.
Enter the required payment and contact information.
Complete identity verification if requested.
Confirm the payment and wait for the cryptocurrency to arrive in your Guarda Wallet.

Swap Cryptocurrency

If you already hold crypto in your Guarda Wallet, exchange supported assets without leaving Guarda. The built-in Swap feature allows you to convert one cryptocurrency into another directly from your wallet. Availability depends on the selected asset pair and current liquidity, so exchange rates and supported pairs may change over time.

Choose the asset you want to exchange.
Select the cryptocurrency you'd like to receive.
Review the available rate and network fees.
Double-check the address and the network.
Confirm the transaction.

Keep Your Wallet Safe

Your wallet's security starts with you. Following a few simple practices can help protect your funds.

Save your recovery phrase offline immediately after creating your wallet.
Keep your wallet backup up to date. Whenever you add a new crypto in your wallet, Guarda updates your backup file. Save the latest version in a secure place.
Never give your recovery phrase or private keys to anyone, including people claiming to represent Guarda. Our team never asks users for their credentials.
Download Guarda only from Guarda's official website and official stores for iOS and Android.
Always verify wallet addresses before confirming a transaction.
