What is Storj?
Storj is an open-source, decentralized file repository. It uses encryption, file separation, and a block-based hash table to store files in a peer-to-peer network. The goal of the project is to make cloud file storage faster, cheaper, and more private. Traditional cloud storage has limitations such as data center bandwidth or unexpected outages that can limit access to user data. There is also the issue of privacy. Project Storj uses blockchain and peer-to-peer networks to solve these problems. STORJ is Storj's own ERC20 token that is used for payments within the network. The STORJ token provides coordination between various parties in the network for large-scale transfer of value in a way that meets the goals of the broader network, including immutability, security and third-party verifiability.Storj Website
