Why Is My Incoming Transaction Not Showing in Guarda?
Guarda is a user-friendly interface that interacts directly with blockchain networks. If you see an incoming transaction on a blockchain but it’s not showing up in Guarda, don’t be alarmed. Sometimes the information displayed in the wallet simply takes longer to update. In that case, let’s check the transaction directly on the blockchain.
How Blockchain Transactions Work
When someone sends crypto to your Guarda address, the transaction takes place on the blockchain network itself. We don’t receive or hold the transaction on your behalf. As soon as the transaction is confirmed, the blockchain records that the funds belong to your address. Guarda retrieves this information from the network and presents the updated balance and transaction history in the wallet.
This means there are two separate things to check:
- Blockchain status shows whether the transaction was actually sent to your address and confirmed by the network.
- Guarda display shows whether Guarda has retrieved and displayed the latest blockchain information.
If the blockchain explorer records a successful incoming transaction to your address but Guarda hasn't displayed it yet, the issue doesn’t affect the funds themselves.
How to Verify Your Transaction
A blockchain explorer lets you check the transaction directly on the network. Explorers index blockchain activity and allow you to search addresses and transactions.
- Copy your receiving wallet address from Guarda.
- Open an explorer for the blockchain network used for the transaction.
- Paste your address into the explorer's search bar.
- Find the incoming transaction and check its status, amount, receiving address, and confirmations.
Blockchain explorers by network:
| Network | Explorer |
|---|---|
| Ethereum (ETH) | Etherscan |
| BNB Smart Chain (BNB) | BscScan |
| Bitcoin (BTC) | Blockchair |
| TRON (TRX) | TRONSCAN |
| Polygon (POL) | PolygonScan |
| Solana (SOL) | Solscan |
| Base | BaseScan |
Make sure you're checking the correct blockchain. The same token may exist on several networks, so finding no transaction on one explorer doesn't necessarily mean the transaction wasn't made.
- The blockchain has recorded the transfer if the status is “Successful/Confirmed” and the destination address matches your Guarda address.
- If the status is “Pending”, the transaction is still waiting for network confirmation, so Guarda may not display the final balance until it is confirmed.
- If you cannot find the transaction at all, check the transaction hash provided by the sender or sending platform. Confirm that the correct network and receiving address were used.
Monero (XMR) works differently from transparent blockchains and requires a different approach to retrieving transaction history. If your XMR transactions are missing in Guarda, see “Why Can't I See My Old XMR Transactions?”.
How to Check Your Transaction History Inside Guarda
Open the wallet for the asset you received and check its transaction history. Refresh the wallet to request the latest blockchain information.
If the transaction appears as successful on the blockchain explorer but is still missing from Guarda:
- Make sure you're viewing the wallet with the same address shown as the recipient in the explorer.
- Make sure you're checking the correct network.
- Refresh the wallet and allow it time to update.
- Make sure you're using the latest version of Guarda if you're using the Mobile, Desktop, or Browser Extension app.
If the confirmed transaction still doesn't appear or your balance remains incorrect, contact official Guarda Support. Include the transaction hash, affected asset/network, your public wallet address, and the Guarda version you're using so the team can investigate the display or synchronization issue.
Guarda Support never needs your private key, recovery phrase, or backup file to verify an incoming blockchain transaction. Never share these credentials with anyone.
