How to Connect ERA Hardware Wallet to Guarda

ERA is fully air-gapped and communicates with Guarda through QR codes rather than USB, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi. You don't need to import your ERA seed phrase into Guarda to establish the connection.

Guarda acts as the interface for managing your ERA account. You can view your assets and initiate supported actions through Guarda, while ERA stores your private keys and handles transaction authorization.

Connecting ERA to Guarda does not import your ERA seed phrase or private keys into Guarda. Your private keys remain on the hardware wallet, and transactions must be approved and signed with ERA.

If you're setting up a new ERA device, complete ERA's initial setup, including the authenticity check and wallet creation, before connecting it to Guarda.

Before You Connect

Make sure that:

Your ERA Wallet is set up and unlocked.
You have created a wallet on your ERA device.
You're using Guarda Web, Desktop, or Browser Extension.
You're connecting the Tron (TRX) blockchain.

How to Connect ERA to Guarda

In Guarda

Open Guarda Web, Desktop, or Browser Extension and log in to your wallet.
Select “Create new or connect hardware.”
Choose "Hardware," then select “ERA Wallet.”
Guarda is now ready to scan the QR code generated by ERA.

On Your ERA Device

Unlock ERA and enter your PIN.
Open “Wallets” and select the wallet you want to connect to Guarda.
Open “Settings” in the upper-right corner and select “Link.”
Scroll down to “Multichain.” This option allows you to connect a specific blockchain instead of the full set of available chains.
Select Tron (TRX).
ERA will display a QR code. Scan it with Guarda.
Once the QR code has been scanned successfully, select “Done” on ERA.

Back in Guarda

Guarda will display 100 addresses generated from the connected ERA wallet (10 addresses per page). Select the address or addresses you want to add to Guarda.
Your Guarda backup will be updated automatically.
Once connected, your ERA account will appear in the Guarda sidebar.

If you are logging out of your Guarda Wallet, a backup will not be able to import the Era information.
